Tilicho Lake known for the highest lake in the world is located in Manang District of Nepal in the Annapurna range at an altitude of 4919m. Among the Annapurna Circuit Trek, Tilicho lake trek is the most popular destination for hiking. Tilicho Lake Trek undoubtedly provides some of the world’s best views, great variety of culture and diversity, finest deep valley’s and high mountains encompassing the giant Mt. Annapurna. The thundered sound of avalanche and the calm of the Tilicho Lake are really amazing. The herd of blue sheep and Yaks are another attraction of this trek. Tilicho Lake Trek displays scenic view of much of eastern side of the epic world famous Annapurna circuit with sublime natural beauty, cultural and traditional values, stunning waterfalls and running clean water streams, and attractive floras and faunas.

Day 10: Trek Khangsar village to Tilocho Lake Base Camp (4150m) for 5-6 hrs

Day 11: Trek Base Camp to Tilicho Lake (4920m) for 6-7 hrs and trek back to Base Camp for 4 hrs

Day 12: Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka (4000m) for 6-7 hrs

Day 13: Trek Yak Kharka to Phedi (4420m) for 3-4 hrs

Day 14: Trek Phedi to Muktinath (3800m) for 7-8 hrs

Day 15: Trek Muktinath to Jomsom (2713m) via Kagbeni (2810m) for 6-7 hrs

Day 16: Jomsom to Pokhara 20 min flight

Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu Drive 6-7 hrs

Day 18: Departure

<p>After your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu you will be greeted by one of our representatives who will later transfer you to the hotel. After hotel check in you can decide whether you would like to have a relaxing rest at the hotel or hang around the streets of Kathmandu (If you have leisure time). You will be briefed about our next day’s travel plan by our company representative. O/N you stay at the hotel. </p>

<p>Tilicho Lake Trek also includes a guided city tour where you get to discover several historical, cultural and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu. You will be seeing the world heritage sites like historical Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of lord Pashupatinath, Buddhist pilgrimage Swoyambhunath (famous by the name of Monkey temple among tourists) and Boudhanath Shrine. You will be amazed to see the culture, tradition and lifestyle of people living in Kathmandu valley. After a full day seeing tour, you will be dropped back to the hotel where you rest for the night. </p>

<p>On the third day of Tilicho Lake Trek, after breakfast we drive for about 6 hrs and reach Syange (1080m) enjoying the rivers, terraced fields and hills. Then we take a local jeep and move forward for Jagat (1330m) passing through the tiny Tibetan village along with greeneries, river, local villages and scenic beautiful mountain. </p>

<p>After breakfast we begin the first trek of the Tilicho Lake Trek towards Dharapani (1960m) with zigzag trail along the side of the Marsyangdi river and stop at the tal. We spend some time at Tal to observe the valley views and waterfall. Passing the trail through barley, rice, potato filed and pine forest we terminate our today’s trek at Dharapani which is a junction way for Manaslu and also the big village in Manang. Overnight at Dharapani. </p>

<p>Our today’s trek begins from Dharapani and terminates at Chame (2630m) following the beautiful forest of blue pine, hemlock maple and oak. Chame is the headquarter of Manang district with the beautiful entrance along wall with many prayers wheels and offers the spectacular view of Lamjung and Annapurna II/IV (7525m). Overnight at Chame. </p>

<p>Enjoying the Tilicho Lake Trek, after breakfast we pursue our trek to Pisang (3210m) from Chame. The trail follows through the river valley with good views along the way of Pisang peak and Annapurna II at Pisang. Pisang marks the beginning of the region upper portion of the Manang district. Overnight at Pisang. </p>

<p>We continue our trek to Manang (3540m) passing through the steep ridge trail along the right side of Marsyangdi river and offering spectacular view of the great Annapurna Ridge and Marsyandi river valley. Overnight at Manang. </p>

<p>On the eighth day of Tilicho Lake Trek you spend a second night in the Manang region to acclimatize to the higher elevations you will encounter towards the Thoroung La. Take advice from Himalayan Rescue Association and observe the spectacular views of the Himalaya nearby. There are fine views of the milky blue glacier lake at the foot of spectacular Gangapurna icefall and traditional stone buildings. You can explore Khangsur Village, Kecho Lake or Milarepa Cave. Stay overnight in camp. </p>

Today after the inviting breakfast at Manang we pursue our trek for the Khangsar village (3734m). Khangsar village welcomes us with great barrier, monastery, chorten, Mani walls and prayers flag. Overnight at Khangsar village.

Climbing the steep trails we start our today’s trek towards the Tilicho Lake Base Camp. We encounter some streams through the trail which is covered with small crystals and shrubs. Descending through a series of zigzags we finally reach the Tilicho Lake Base camp (4150m) and set our night camp.

As we continue the trail of Tilicho Lake Trek to Tiicho Lake we observe the spectacular views of Tarkeghyang, Gangapurna and the Khangsar Kang and finally reach to the destination of the trip lake Tilicho (4920m) the highest lake in the world. After spending some memorable time at the highest lake of the world we trek back to the Base Camp with the same route and camp for the night.

Our today’s program is to trek for Yak Kharka (4000m) following the beautiful scrub juniper and alpine grasses. The view of large yaks grazing at Yak Kharka and superb view of Annapurna III makes your day. Overnight at Yak Kharka.

The trek begins from Yak Kharka and terminates at Phedi (4420m) passing through ascending and descending trails. We can even encounter the snow leopard and blue sheep if we get lucky that day. It is some time possible to see herds of blue mountain sheep at Phedi. Overnight at Phedi.

Experiencing the Tilicho Lake Trek, we pass the steep trail along with the moraines and rocky ridge and ascend to Thorung La pass. We can observe the long Great Barrier ridge, Tibet like region of Manang, as well as the Annapurna, Gangapurna and the heavily glaciated peak of Khatung Kang (6484m). Then we reach to Muktinath (3800m) descending the steep trail. Overnight at the Muktinath.

After the breakfast at the pilgrimage site muktinath we pursue our trek to Jomsom (2713m) passing through Kagbeni (2810m). The trail stroll among meadows, streams, poplar and fruit trees, finally we arrive Kagbeni a gateway to Upper Mustang and after having luch at kagbeni we further trek towards the windy trail of Kali Gandaki valley and reach Jomsom. Overnight at Jomsom.

An early morning we will take a short picturesque flight to Pokhara. The view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains and world's deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki is stunning. Relax whole day in Hotel or wander around Lake Side with fascinating mountains panorama view and nature charming. Explore the various interesting places like Mahendra Cave, David's fall and the various lakes of course. Overnight at Pokhara.

<p>Today you will drive back to Kathmandu by a/c tourist bus passing along beautiful landscapes (6-7 hrs drive). After reaching Kathmandu you can either rest in Hotel or hang around the city. In the evening you will join your farewell dinner with our team in an authentic Nepali restaurant. Later you will be dropped back to the Hotel.</p>

Day 18 :
Departure

Your Tilicho Lake Trek terminates today. You will be escorted to airport by one of our representative and there we exchange our last good-byes. You will be traveling towards your further destination with all the memories you had during your tour. We hope you had a lovely time with us. We would be obliged to be your travel partner during your next adventure in Nepal. Have a safe flight back home!
