| The
Kailash Mansarovar region in
western Tibet attracts the
faithful of four great religions.
Hindu Buddhist, Join and bon
devotees journey to this
pilgrimage site to
take
ritual dips in the icy waters of
the sacred Mansarovar Lake. The
entrancing peak of Mt. Kailash, a
(6,714m) pyramid of travel
restrictions, adventures are also
going therein increasing numbers
to admire the spectacular view and
revel in the stark landscape. Our
trek begins with a scenic flight
to Simikot in the northwestern
corner of Nepal. We then walk
through forests, valleys, fields
and villages to cross the border
into Tibet at Sher. The next
portion of the journey consists of
a drive to Taklakot and no to
Darchan at the foot of Mt. Kailash.
