Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at New Delhi. You are
picked up at the Airport and transferred
to Hotel. Afternoon city tour
Day
2: Sightseeing tours in Delhi. You will
visit Old and New Delhi. You will have
enough time to enjoy the Mughal art and
architecture in Old Delhi and some
Highlights of New Delhi, like Conought
Place, India Gate and so on. In the
evening, take the night train to Kalka
Day
3 Shimla: You will arrive at Kalka in
the morning, then you will have to
change the train. Before noon you get
Shimla, summer capital of British India.
Overnight in Shimla
Day
4/5 Manali: You will drive through many
mountain villages and apple orchards to
end up in the cozy little village of
Manali in the Kullu area. Next day you
will visit Hadimba Temple, Vashishta
Temple, Hot Spring and old Manali.
Overnight in Manali.
Day
6/7 Jispa: With a tourist-van we take a
ride for a sensational trip over high
mountain passes. After we cross the
Rohthang pass, you will leave the clouds
behind you and a bright blue sky arises
in front of you. Also the landscape will
change, as the mighty Himalayan
Mountains will surround us. To have good
acclimatization, we stay two nights at
Jispa (3100 m.) where we will have our
first acquaintance with the Bhuddist
culture and every year on 15th August
the colorful Tribal Fair is held here.
We visit Gemur monastery, Castles and
walk back to the hotel.

8 Sarchu: We drive further on the
spectacular road as we pass the mighty
canyons. We stay the night in a fixed
tented camp in Sarchu (4100 m) with all
the possible comfort.
Day
9 Leh: We really enjoy this
overland-safari as the road winds all
the way up and we cross the Taglangla
Pass, the second highest motorable pass
of the world. We continue our way along
beautiful aquarelle-lakes and
unforgettable views to end up in Leh
late in the afternoon. Overnight hotel
Leh.
Day
10/11/12 Leh and Around: Sightseeing in
Leh city. You will visit different
Buddhist Gompas from Medieval time like
Tsemo Gompa, Sankar Gompa and Leh Palace
etc. The other day, you will have
excursion to Shey Manastry and Thiksey
Monastery. Thiksey Manastry is built on
a high rock and gives the reminiscence
of Potala Palace of Lhasa. From here,
you have a beautiful view over the Indus
valley.
Afterwards,
we visit Hemis Monastery at Hemis, where
a famous Hemis Festival is celebrated
every year at the peak time of summer.
Day
13-16 TREK ( Likir – Tingsmogang)
From
Likir you will start the walking tour.
This route seldom goes higher than
4000m, where you walk through a
beautiful, almost unreal landscape. From
a far distance you can spot fresh green
nature, an oasis where the people of
Ladakh live and survive in this
overwhelming nature. We pass
breathtaking canyons, and enjoy the
views at the pastel Color Mountains of
which the peaks are covered with snow.
You will be surprised by the sudden
fertile landscape of apple, pear and nut
trees. We stay the nights in hospitable
little villages like Sumdo,
Hemis-Shukpachan and Tingsmogang. On our
tour we visit several Buddhists
monasteries/gompas. We have overnight
stays in tents, in the shadow of the
apricot trees. You will be picked up and
via sightseeing in Alchi we drive back
to Leh, where we overnight in the hotel.

Day 13-16 Trek (Stok-la)
From
Stok we start the walktrek and
cross-sparkling streams and open fields.
Slowly we climb to the Stok-la Pass. On
4900 m. we have a spectacular view over
Ladakh and snowcapped summits rise in
the distance as far as the border of
Tibet and the Karakorams in Pakistan.
The total area is a contrast, with rocky
bleak desert land and green oasis. We
will stay for the night in Rubak. We
walk further via Zingchen to Spituk.
After a visit of the monastery we drive
back to Leh.(Stolk-Lamlung(3 hrs)-Stolk
B.C. (5/6 hrs)- Stolk La- Rumbok(5 hrs)
drive to Leh)

17 Leh: You will discover the capital of
Ladakh. Leh is the link of the legendary
Silk Route between the old Cathay, which
was the name of China in times of the
great Kublai Khan, and India. It is the
Palace on its granite ridge above the
city that gives distinction to the
little town of Leh, fitting it for its
role as capital of a mountain kingdom.
The Palace dates from the 1630s, and is
the work of the greatest of the Ladakhi
kings, Sengge Namgyal.

18 Delhi: From Leh, we take a flight
over the Himalayas back to Delhi.
Overnight in hotel Delhi Day 19: Free
day for shopping.
Day20
Departure: Tranfer to Airport for
departure.
