Mount
Everest, in Tibetan QOMOLANGMA, was
first recognized as the world's tallest
in 184, the stunning scenery in Everest
region has been acclaimed since the
first British expeditions attempted to
climb Mount Everest in the 1920s. With
the advent of the tourism and trekking
in China during the early 1980s, Dza
Rongbuk Monastery and the nearby base
camp quickly became Tibet's most popular
trekking destination. The best time for
trekking to Mount Everest is generally
between May to October
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa. Upon arrival,
you will be met and transfer provided to
your hotel.
Day 2-3: Tour of Potala Palace,
Norbulinka Palace, Drepung, Ganden and
Sera Monastery,Jokhang Temple, Tibetan
Medical Centre and Barkhor Bazaar.
Overnight in Lhasa.
Day 4: Drive to Tsedang. Enroute visit
Samye. Over night at hotel Tsedang.
Day 5: Drive to Gyantse. Visit to
Khumbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery.
Overnight at hotel Gyantse.
Day 6: Drive to Xigatse via Shalu
Monastery. Visit to Tashilhunpo
Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Drive to old Tingri.
Day 8: Drive to Rongbuk and overnight at
lodge.
Day 9: Excursion to EVEREST BASE CAMP.
Day 10: Drive Rongbuk to Xegar.
Overnight at Hotel Quomolangma
(Everest).
Day 11: Drive to Zhangmu. Overnight at
hotel Zhangmu
Day 12: Drive to Kathmandu.
